Google and Microsoft

We have a new reason to be afraid this year on Halloween.
bq.Google, the highflying Silicon Valley Web search company, recently began holding meetings with bankers in preparation for its highly anticipated initial public offering as it was still engaged in meetings of another kind: exploring a partnership or even a merger with Microsoft. According to company executives and others briefed on the discussions, Microsoft – desperate to capture a slice of the popular and ad-generating search business – approached Google within the last two months to discuss options, including the possibility of a takeover. – John Markoff and Andrew Ross Sorkin Someone told me about this easlier in the day, but I thought he must have a rumor. Unfortunately, I was mistaken.
bq.Google is the ultimate network builder! People who are Microsoft junkies use Google because it works, and it works better than anything anyone else dragged up! Linux users use Google because it works. AND an independent Google Inc., can house the parties and network them together. Put Google Inc., in the Microsoft camp, and the network linking the worlds would be jeopardized. Us anti-Microsoft guys would not trust Google again. – Microdoc News
