BitTorrent Potential

I have been playing some with BitTorrent lately. It really is a fantastic tool for all sorts of uses, including software and content distribution for projects like TheOpenCD and LegalTorrents.com. Steve Gilmore believes there is an opportunity when combined with RSS. I keep thinking back to the conversation from a few months ago. I am beginnng to think that TiVo is going to be the last company to take advantage of something like this. For instance, further development of the Home Media Option has seemed nonexistent except for the work of some loyal customers who have worked on projects like JavaHMO or seemingly simpler things like WMA Support. I understand they have a vested interest in staying on the good side of Hollywood (as the alternative is decidely unpleasant). But it seems that they are in danger of cutting themselves out of a potentially luractive market. Maybe I should just give up and go play a video game.
